The Nissan Gallery
The Ginza 4 Chome intersection is home to the Nissan head office and gallery. Nissan is the second largest automotive manufacture, after Toyota and in front of Honda. The company has a large stake in French manufacturer Renault and it employs over 120,000 people around the globe.
Some of Nissan’s products include the Maxima, Tiida, X-Trail and Nissan Cube. Many of Nissan’s products are exported worldwide while some are designed for the Japanese market only.
The gallery is a small showcase of some of this manufacturers finest automotive products. There are also a number of interactive displays where you can learn a little more about Nissan’s extensive range of automotive products or how they care for the environment.
The gallery throughout the year is home to several displays including art shows, and design exhibitions. A small area of the centre is available for children to draw and colour cars.
The Nissan Gallery is on the corner of the Ginza 4 Chome intersection, one of the most photographed streets in Tokyo. The gallery is only small but is well worth a visit while in the area to see the jewel like cars. Admission to the centre is free.
You can easily get to the centre from the Ginza Subway Station (G09) on the Ginza or Hibiya lines. If you are travelling on the Marunouchi line exit the C3 or C4 gates. The closest JR line is Yurakucho Station on the Keihin-Tohoku Line and Yamanote Line and Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line (Y18) which is about an 8 minute walk away.
